The Age of Aquarius

As I said yesterday, today was my American History class's annual Hippie Day. I must say that it was a lot of fun. Everyone looked wonderful in their 60's attire. Here's what I wore:

I searched for the perfect hippie dress for many months, until I found this blue vintage number. I fell in love with all of the embroidered flowers and the flowiness of it.

I'm sure you're wondering what exactly we did today. Basically, we all sat down on the floor and sang Syd Barret and Jimi Hendrix songs. My teacher alsop burned a TON of incense, which after a while gave me a killer headache. All in all though, it was a swell time.
Here are two of my personal favorite songs from the hippie era:
Wish You Were Here-Pink Floyd

Dreams-Fleetwood Mac (Isn't Stevie Nicks just the best?!)

I am sorry for the briefness of this posst, I have to clean and whatnot. Sunday, I will hopefully have a pretty exciting post for you all. I'm taking a trip down to Nola (New Orleans for those of you not from Louisiana) with my family and manfriend. GOOD TIMES!!!

Until next time,
-Meganne

Gorgeous! I love the embroidery. I miss those days in school, getting to dress up for history class. I guess that is why I try to do it everyday in regular life haha :)
