Who Said There's Only 94 Days of Summer?

I'm obsessed. I cannot get enough of this blasted movie! Every word is engraved into my brain forever. Every line, every song, I know it all. I don't know whether this is a really great thing, or a really sad thing? Maybe both.

I'm currently watching the movie on HBO, and I feel the need to share these images with you all. They are a few of my favorite scenes/quotes from the movie. Enjoy!

The last shot is my absolute favorite. I included the actual clip, so you should definitely watch it! It makes me want to run wild through the isles, erm...sections, of the Ikea store. If only we had one. One day, I will do this though. I have to. It's officially on my bucket list. The one that I've yet to make.

Wild Flowers

Spring is here, yes in deed! Wild flowers are in full bloom and I couldn't be more excited. I'm so excited for longer, sunny days, spring showers, flowers, and butterflys! I actually spotted my first butterfly of the year yesterday, and my first ladybug today. I am rather happy about that. You can't see a butterfly or a ladybug and not be put into a giddy mood, right? Okay, maybe I'm the only one, but whatever.
I am so ready for the weather to be a constant 80 or so. For the past two days' it's been in the upper 50's. It's ridiculous. Saturday was so hot and humid. Sunday and today however, was a bit chilly! Darn you, Louisiana weather, darn you!

While this isn't what I wore today, since I had school and whatnot, it is what I wore yesterday to my friend's baby shower. The top is actually a dress, but hey, who can tell?

Well, I'm off to eat some yummy chicken lasagna. I hope that you all are having something as equally yummy. Have a wonderful night, and a swell day tomorrow, lovelies.

Yes, yes. Last night was my prom. I absolutely loved it. I'm not sure if my favorite part was the dress, the crawfish sushi, or the dancing.I loved it all! It was certainly a good night. I'm still incredibly tired from last night and from my friend's baby shower. I sadly didn't bring along my camera to the shower. I regret that. I feel as though the world needs to see it's cuteness. My best friend is by far the cutest pregnant person. Well, anyhow, here are the pictures, it's kind of a picture overload. Alas, I hope you enjoy them!

The putting on of the boutonniere and the corsage.

I adore my dress. So much.

We took a little walk.

This one is my favorite! Well, almost.

Everyone on my facebook seems to love this one the most.

The sun was so terribly bright in this parking lot.

This last one is definitely my favorite. It's...slightly seductive. In a way.

Last but not least, my lovely shoes. Aren't they great?!

Well, I hope you all enjoyed this look at all of my prom pictures. If your prom is coming up, or you just need/want a pretty dress, check out Unique Vintage. This is where I got this dress. It was only $172. I know, it's still a goood bit of money, but it's certainly not as much as most. A good formal gown runs around $250+. It's pretty ridiculous I think. I hated spending this much on a dress I'm only going to wear once, but I loved it and it was prom, I just had to go all out!

Well, I'm out! Have a wonderful night!

Chictopia Shcmictopia

It's Monday-day-day!

I have no idea why I added a "!" at the end of that post title. Mondays do not deserve an exlamation mark. They do deserve a "..." or a good "?!@&%^", but certainly not an exlamation mark. No way. Especially not this monday in particular. It was a bad one. Maybe it was because I had to wake up at 6:15, or maybe it was because by 9 the sole of one of my favorite pairs of vintage shoes tore half way off. Who knows. However, on the upside, I did get my prom dress back from the alteration lady, IT'S AMAZING! I am so beyong ready to show you all my dress. Prom is Saturday, so expect pictures Sunday!

So, I currently have the biggest obsession with Goodwill. I have found the best pieces there lately, like this skirt and the green one from my last post. Most of the time the stores are hit or miss, but lately they've all been a hit! Especially the one in Shreveport, LA. It is HUGE! It's by far the biggest one I've ever been to and it's brand new with really great stuff.

Versatile Blogger Award

This morning I woke up to find the greatest surprise! I was awarded the Versatile Blogger Award by Heel In Mint. I am so very thankful for this. I hope that I am able to keep up my apparently good work! I am thrilled that someone thinks that much of me and my silly little blog. Thank you all, so much, for supporting The Posh Pearl! It means the world to me. Really.

When you are awarded the VB award, you must:
1, Thank the person who gave you the award and link back their blog in your post.
2, Tell 7 things about yourself that everyone might not know.
3, Award 7 bloggers that you have recently discovered with the VB award and contact them to let them know that they have recieved it.

My 7 Things:
1. I have 60+ pairs of shoes. Seriously.
2. I have a crippled golden retriever, Daisy. She's my baby.
3. My favorite bands are Bright Eyes, Band of Horses, Fleetwood Mac, and Phoenix. I love folk music. It's my favorite. Phoenix is just fun to throw into the mix.
4. I am in a long distance relationship with the most amazing boy, erm...manboy, ever.
5. I am graduating midterm my senior year, this December, to go to cosmetology school. I plan to go to art school within the next 5 years and major in fashion design
6. My favorite food is broccoli and cheese, together or on their own and my favorite drink is apple juice or lemonade, but certainly not together.
7. I usually wear extensions in my hair. I HATE my short hair, but I was a red hair for over two years, and the red damaged my hair. I had to cut a good bit off of it, but extensions saved my life.

Now on to the best part, my favorite newest bloggers:
1. Mitzi
2. Shy
3. Vickie
4. Emily
5. Jessica
6. Steph
7. Meagan

I had such a hard time picking out only 7 ladies! I wish that I could put all of you, but alas I couldn't. I hope that you all check out these 7 lovely bloggers if you haven't already.

I totally said that I was going to do an outfit post tonight, but I lied. Well, not really. I am just far too tired to continue this post for much longer. Holwever, her is a sneak peak at tomorrows post:

Have a lovely night, lovelies!

Emerald City

Hello lovely ladies! I hope that you all are having a spectacular weekend, I know I am! I woke up this morning to find out that I've won my very first blogger's award! I am so excited about that and I will post on that tonight along with a new outfit post.

So, here recently, I've come to develop quite an obsession with knee length or longer skirts. I'm aware that most people my age wouldn't wear something like this, as it's a little "grandma", but I don't care. I love them. Modesty is the best policy, right?

I found this emerald color skirt, the shoes, and this purse at Goodwill. I have had the best luck their my past few trips. I've got some really great things. I just love that place. If you have one near you and have never been, I strongly urge you to. You'll be happy that you did.

I did a post a few weeks ago on crackle polish, but I never got around to posting pictures. Well, here's the finished product. I must say, at first I wasn't too fond of the outcome, but I've grown to like it. I think the trick is to find the right base color. It makes all the difference.
